Bacon Cheddar Burger

These burgers are an easy step up from those regular ol’ patties that you throw on the grill. With a perfect balance of bacon, cheddar, beef, horseradish and Bo B Q Rub, you better keep an eye on your grill because the neighbors dog or even the neighbors might steal them! Here’s what you need:

1 pound 90/10 ground beef

½ cup cooked and chopped bacon or real bacon bits (imitation will lose it flavor) ½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1 tablespoons prepared horseradish

1Tbsp Bo B Q Steak Rub 4 Ciabatta Rolls

Let’s get started by preheating the grill for high heat. I like to use hardwood lump charcoal or even better, directly over a hickory wood fire!

Next, in a large bowl, mix together all ingredients by hand and then shape the mixture into 4 hamburger patties.

Now let’s head outside! Lightly oil the grill grate with vegetable oil and throw the patties on the grill. You’ll want to cook for 3-5 minutes per side, or until medium-well or well done, whichever you prefer. Serve on Ciabatta rolls. For added flavor, top with additional cheddar cheese slice and toast those rolls on the grill!
