Grilled Cajun & Garlic Shrimp

If you’ve never tried Cajun shrimp, you have to try this recipe! It combines Cajun, lemon, and garlic for a bold southern flavor! Here’s what you need:

8 Tbsp (1 stick) unsalted butter

5 cloves of minced garlic

1 Tbsp Bo B Q Cajun Seasoning

1/2 tsp salt 

1 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice

2 lbs (20-30) uncooked large shrimp (peeled and deveined)

2-3 Tbsp minced parsley 

Wire grilling basket (or 10-15 skewers)


Directions:

  1. Let’s start by preheating the grill to 400˚F.

  2. Next we want to combine the first 5 ingredients in a small sauce pan and bring to a simmer.

  3. Once it starts to simmer, remove from heat and allow it to slightly cool.

  4. Next we want to divide this butter mixture in half, placing half in a bowl and the other half in a gallon zip lock bag.

  5. Place the shrimp in the bag and lightly message to coat the shrimp.

  6. Place shrimp in oiled basket (or if skewering, place on presoaked skewers.

  7. Place shrimp on the grill and cook shrimp about 2 minutes per side or just until cooked through (no longer transparent). Try not to over cook.

  8. When done, remove the shrimp shrimp from grill and brush with or toss in the reserved butter. Serve with lemon slices and minced parsley over the top for garnish.
